Norfolk Open Studios is a scheme led by Norfolk artists for the benefit of Norfolk artists, offering to help and support them in opening up their studios, meeting their public and selling works of art.

From Saturday 17 May to Sunday 1 June 2008, over 250 artists will throw open the doors of their studios, spare rooms, sheds, caravans, boat-houses, outhouses and galleries to share with you their work and their passion for art. Are you looking for a thoughtful present or the perfect picture for your living-room, inspired by the Norfolk landscape? Do you want to commission a work of art? Or perhaps you’re simply interested in having a chat to a local artist about their work and techniques, surrounded by the tools of their trade?

Then Norfolk Open Studios is for you. Entry to studios is completely free. Whether you’re interested in oils, sculpture, watercolours, linocuts, quilting, basket-making, collage, photography, etchings, sketches, pots or fabric design, this is a scheme with a simple concept but plenty to offer everyone.

Comprehensive listings and images of all participating NOS 2008 artists and, new to 2008, gallery/collective artist groups can be searched by name or even region – which may make planning your studio visit easier! Use the searching tools above.

If you’re a participating NOS artist outside of Norwich and find you need to distribute your brochures better you can drop your brochures off at a venue listed in your relevant region – please make sure you liaise with the venue in advance.
